Ushering in the new year, and following 18 months of planning, Vans opened its newest indoor skate facility to provide the five boroughs with a safe haven as winter sets in.

The Vans Skate Space 198 is home to a variety of street and transition-based obstacles for all levels of skateboarders to enjoy. The space also plans to host events throughout the year to engage with all creative types while helping to nurture the skateboarding culture of the Tri-State area.

Located in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood, anyone looking to check the park out simply needs to reserve a spot during the various sessions offered throughout the week. Sessions are free for anyone who signs up and are offered Thursday through Sunday weekly.

The Vans Skate Space 198 is further evidence of the brand’s longtime dedication to provide for the skateboarding community. “Skateboarding is a cultural driver fueled with positivity and the Vans Skate Space 198 is the physical address that will enable the skateboarding culture in New York City to feel it all year round!”  said Zach Sheats, Vans Americas Brand Marketing Manager.
