What’s the secret to popping into a proper frontside wallride?
Go fast and think about some shit you’re stoked on like White Zombie. Throw yourself at it and it usually works. Somehow you pretty much always make it on the wall perfectly.
Is it true you have a love for VHS tapes?
Hell yeah, my living room is pretty much Blockbuster. You ever watch The Simpsons in HD? That shit sucks. Most of the stuff I watch just looks better on VHS, like old 411s and WWF shit. Horror stuff always looks way cooler on VHS. I’m not trying to watch Child’s Play in fucking HD.

How long did you spend filming for 4×4? Any good stories from that time?
We have always filmed with each other but got really serious I’d say in the last year and a half before it came out. We met this rapper at at a spot that goes by “Top Notch” and his gear was so crazy. He was fully on one. We have named a bunch of shit after him like these two rocks that we hang out at before we all part ways at the end of a day of skating. The rocks are called “top notch rocks.” So fried but so sick.

Which project was more fun to work on, Doodootage or 4×4?
Doodootage morphed into 4×4 so it wasn’t too much of a difference besides us getting more serious I guess.
