Words & Photos: Nicholas Pearson Skating: Andrew, Michael, and Sam
“Wade’s ramp” is located in a backyard along the Annapolis Bay in a decent, low key suburban neighborhood in Maryland. Wade is just a neighborhood skate kid, the son of a former skater “Mr.Thomas” who I came to know through a mutual friend, and his next door neighbor, Michael Norman. According to Norm having helped build it from day one, it’s constructed of scrap metal, street signs, and donated palettes, scrap wood, and pieces of Skatelite. As far as we know (myself, and Norm) It’s free to skate for just about anyone, so long as you know somebody through Wade, or Norm, and the shenanigans are kept to a minimum.
