Who built the ramp?
My brother Chad was the mastermind that told myself and Cameron Keene what to do during the build. We had plenty of help from lots of others.
Who skates it?
The ramp has been skated by tons of local heads and all the homies that come through town. From Ty Brown, Aaron Green and all the S.C. fools, to Justin Brock, Silas, Guru, Colin Provost, and most of the tum yeto guys. Even Sheckler and Biebel have been there. It is the perfect warm up spot after a long night of partying.
Have lots of parties there?
When we first built the ramp about four years ago we lived right by N.C. State and we got away with a bunch of really fun parties. After a couple years of that we got the boot from the house so we took the ramp down and moved it to my current place. It took a while before it was rebuilt. Decided to leave it apart while we finished the post22 “film &destroy” video. We put it back together earlier this year with a couple slight changes. It is even better than the first time.
Advice for someone who wants to have a ramp?
Just go for it! Everything from building it, to skating it, to tearing it down was a great experience. It brings people together, creates a good positive vibe and even girls like to come over and watch. What more do you want? I grew up with a ramp in my backyard and I hope to always have one.
P.S. Buy good materials, make a plan of what you want. Get everything together and build it fast so the wood doesn’t get damaged from the weather.
