Concrete’s here.

7:30AM comes rolling in pretty loud around these parts. The passing trains like to give us a heavy soundtrack. They’re just the warm up act though, the crew around here rolls deeper and louder! It’s Black Friday and what better way to share a moment with your loved ones than to sling some mud together.

We had enough bodies to mix three pallets of crete by 11. The odds were always in our favor. The donations of beer, cash, and free labor had been bountiful, so by the time we finished the first set up we could take a skate break.

High revs, high bevs. If there is one thing that’s for certain around here it’s that concrete is a celebration. The tricks flew in thick and fast, the crew gave the same amount of energy in their cheers as they put into the mixing. We’ve now got enough features to have yourself a good time and more.

The spillover in donations from this pour is going to get us into 2021 with guns blazing. We’ll be finishing our “666” pocket, the new pump bump around the bridge’s pillar, and the rest of the pyramid.

Ever since the destruction of Kingshighway DIY, St. Louis has at times been a ship without an ocean to sail. We tested the waters of Queenshighway over the last few years and it’s the blue horizon we have been searching for. It’s now time to create new memories and beautiful concrete waves for the people of St. Louis. So far the city has embraced the spot and we hope to keep it growing faster than ever in 2021.

Big thanks to all who have supported us in any way over the last 10 years, we’d be nothing without you. Now get out and build something beautiful for your community.
