How old were you when you started skating?

I got my first real board when I was probably six years old.

I heard that you actually didn’t really skate at first, and that you would just get stoned at the park. Is that true?

No! Not true. I’ve never been a skatepark lurker. I actually skated until I was about fourteen years old, and at that point weed and video games became very important to me. Thankfully, since then I’ve grown out of both of those habits.

Who would you rather skate like, Frankie Hill or Garrett Hill?

Can I combine? I would like to skate like Frankie Hill while wearing red pants or orange jumpsuits.

Matt Beach or Matt Field?

Matt Field. Ipath grasshoppers, sizzla, crazy arms, tall pop shuvits, and I get to have Matt Rodriguez guest tricks in my part? No question.

Chet Thomas or Jamie Thomas?

Maybe young Chet Thomas, before all the hardflips. But I guess I’ll go with current Jamie.

Rob told me that your ex-girlfriend backed up into your step-dad’s truck and then committed a hit and run. Tell me about that.

Funny story. She was leaving my house and I heard a bang, so I looked out my window and saw her car right up against the truck, then watched her pull away from the truck, and then proceed to back out of the driveway and leave. I saw later that her bumper had a hole punched out of it from the truck’s hitch, and I asked her what happened. She told me her uncle backed into it…I let that one simmer until we were breaking up.

What’s your favorite skate video from 2006?

That’s a hard one. Krooked Kronichles. Actually, Bag of Suck came out in 2006. So, yeah Bag of Suck. But I was 11 in 2006, and I used to go to my local indoor park, Junction, and watch Cheese and Crackers on repeat trying to get whoever was around to check out how sick Chris Haslam’s blunt triple kickflip to fakie was.

So you went on a trip around the country. Which state has the hottest chicks?

I saw the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen in a San Francisco coffee shop. I wish I had gotten to know her. Hottest chicks per capita? I don’t know. But I can tell you Colorado has some amazing skateparks!
