Field Notes from Ledgewood DIY

Still riding a huge nostalgia wave from watching the Ridge Army documentary, I set out to reconnect with some of the old crew. A lot of the Ridge OGs had been skating at Ledgewood and were aching to get some clips, so I decided to get out there and film them. What was intended to be a quick Instagram edit of Ledgewood became a 16+ minute video.

Major props to everyone who has contributed to builds and put in work to make the Ledgewood DIY happen. Shout out to Vu Skateboard Shop for always holding it down, and shout out to the Ridge Army and the skaters who filmed for this project.

Lastly, big ups to Shawn Wixted for releasing a film that made waves in the Baltimore skate scene. Skaters came out of the woodwork, filmers dusted off their cameras, and the gang got back together for the love of skateboarding—and we’re not done yet.
