Skate spots:
1. Monument ledge. Right across from the Art museum stairs. Great view and a ledge with a backboard. Good excuse to go slow as hell and lock into some tricks you can’t normally do.
2. Zoo banks.
3. Art Museum.
Food spots:
1. Tattooed Moms. Good spot with vegan options and fun drinks. Hit upstairs and ask Tim about his board collection.
2. 10th and Washington taco truck.
3. The Pope.
Chill spots:
1. South bowl. Get there during the summer and hit the batting cages.
2. Nocturnal Skateshop.
3. South Philly Pool Hall.
Streets with the worst potholes:
1. My damn street. My brother was filling the potholes up with sand and random debris. It’s patched for now but by the time this comes out we’ll be bumpin’ again.
2. Washington Ave. Even after a fresh repave.
3. Anywhere Quell is skating.
Taco trucks:
1. 10th and Wash. Best truck to pull up to after a sesh with a 6er and chill in a parking lot with your squad.
2. Seventh and Tasker.
3. Korea Taqueria.
Bars to smoke in:
1. Third floor of the Dive. Pool, cig machine, matching hunks game and probably a dog. Can’t beat it. Also can’t get the cig smell off you so beware.
2. Second floor of the Dive.
3. McGlincheys.
Stores with cats:
1. The book trader. Place is huge and packed with books and random art. Can’t leave until you find Dr. Pickles and give em a pet.
2. Bella Vista beer distributors.
3. The Station.
Plazas left standing:
1. Art Museum. Is Art Museum a plaza? I’m claiming it. Place has everything and feels dope skating around a building that immense. Gets some good sun shine too. Go get cultured inside.
2. Shakespeare.
3. Marconi.
City Hall, Love & Muni ranked:
1. City Hall. Hard to pick City Hall over Love but the cops showing up and being able to run down into the subway down the Koston noseslide steps was a good getaway. And I like a lil six stair. Felt more gothic and gritty over there.
2. Love Park.
3. Muni.
