How old are you, where are you from and what year did you start skating?

I just turned 20, I’m from El Salvador. I started really skating when I was in 6th grade.

I know you’re into fixing up cars in your spare time, how did you get into that and what do you like about it the most?

My one homie Juanes got me into cars, my first car was a manual e46 BMW. I bought it not even knowing how to drive it. Juanes test drove it and said it was aight, I bought it for dirt cheap out in VA, Juanes drove it back and taught me that same day so I could drive it home. The best thing about being into cars is learning about them in general. Fixing up cars is a great skill to have nowadays.

Whose part are you lookin forward to the most?

Most likely Bosley, das bro and he’s the youngin of the crew just like how I was, so I’m just excited to see it because I know he’s buck.

Nashua Rosales

In the early days, did you spend more time skating at parks or neighborhood spots?

When I first started skating I was definitely a neighborhood baby. Skated a lot of flat ground and stairs. Once I got a little older I skated at Rockville park OD!

Is there any place outside of the US that you’d like to visit soon to skate?

I’ve always wanted to go back to Chile! I got to skate a little in the city of Puerto Montt where my fam is from. It’s always raining down there so I didn’t skate a lot. Seeing the “GX1000 Chile” video really got me hyped to go back and actually skate.

Whose part are you lookin forward to the most?

Probably Eric’s because “G man da goat!”

Abram Hastie

Where did you grow up skating & where do you live now?

I grew up and started skating in Frederick, MD. Within the last few years I moved to Adams Morgan, a neighborhood in DC and have been here since.

You’ve filmed a handful of parts throughout the years, what keeps you motivated to continue filming?

I think you and the people around me keep me motivated to keep skating and filming. We never really take breaks between projects and everyone is so ready to go get clips every weekend and I don’t want to miss out!

Whose part are you lookin forward to the most?

Gouldman’s because he’s got so much footy already and he’s always getting the most insane lines!

Xavier Clements

Where’d you grow up and where do you live now?

I grew up in Poolesville, Maryland. A small town around 40 minutes west of DC. Moved to Frederick about seven years ago now and I like it a lot. We got the shop (Embark) here and it’s where a lot of the homies live.

What’s your favorite city to skate in the DMV and why?

Definitely Baltimore. I love the crust and there’s always something wild going on out there, good food and don’t really get kicked out of anywhere.

Whose part are you lookin forward to the most?

I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s part! I know Colin and Nashua have been killing it and I can’t wait to see the youngins Gabe and Braiden. Just stoked on all the homies!

How and when did you get into skateboarding?

I started skating in 1998. A lot of my friends were skating, and I thought it was a good alternative to sports. There are obvious physical benefits, but it’s also a great way to express oneself. There aren’t any rules and you can skate any way you want.

I know you like to stay fueled up in the session, what are your top three food spots in the DMV?

Playa or South Block for açaí, Ixtapalapa for the fish and beef cheek tacos, and as far as sit-down joints go, Da Hong Pao has the best dim sum around.

What keeps you motivated to continue getting footage?

You have been constantly filming for years, and all of my friends are always killing it and having fun. It’s easy to get hyped with great friends and a productive filmer.

Where do you live and what do you do for work?

I live in Frederick, MD and I am the chef at a local brunch spot up here, Cafe Nola.

How long have you been in the food industry for? I know the food industry can be stressful. Does skateboarding help relieve some of that stress?

Been working in the food industry for 14 years. It definitely is stressful at times and skateboarding is 100% a stress reliever. I look forward to those Sunday sessions with the homies after a long work week.

Sunday’s are the best! Who are some of your favorite DMV locals at the moment?

Rashad Murray, Nashua Rosales, Nick Weber, Ben Walters. Major shoutout to those dudes and everyone else who’s ripping and keeping the scene alive out here.
